ART & SOUL: International Art & Sculpture Fair
Sandra invites you to join her for ART & SOUL: International Art & Sculpture Fair.
Sandra Bell will exhibit at Ireland’s most prestigious arts and sculpture event ‘Art & Soul,’ at the 5* Culloden Estate and Spa, Belfast. Held over 3 weeks, numerous exhibitions will be on display throughout the hotel and its grounds, by leading Irish and International artists.
Sandra is exhibiting six garden sculptures at “Art and Soul” Gormley’s current exhibition at the Culloden Hotel Belfast. Ballerina was conceived during lockdown last year when the artist’s highly scented shrub rose Ballerina was in full bloom. The flowers and leaves were picked to adorn this life-sized figure in Cast Bronze figure wearing ballet shoes, with roses at her feet. Lilly, the only water feature in the show continues the garden theme, flowing water filters through the Lillies and gently splashing into the bowl below .Maya 11 in vibrant blue also features ballet shoes and Salmon of Knowledge in the brown hues of the riverbed , and Lovewings featuring a dove accompany Seat of learning, a seated figure reading. This is a prestigious exhibition, and I am delighted to be part of the international team of artists on show at the Culloden estate.
Sandra Bell makes sculpture in cast bronze and fabricated steel. The themes of ‘Harmony’ and ‘Balance’ are predominant in her sculpture. The simple lines are challenging. They create large spaces which allow a play of light throughout the sculptures. The smooth surfaces and soft curves draw one in, to interact with these living uncomplicated shapes.
The pleasure and enjoyment in connecting with people through the creation of my sculpture delights me. I lose myself in my work and explore my inner feelings in a quiet and meditative place. I love that others viewing my sculpture may share part of my experience and find meaning and relevance in the work that I do.
